Is It Safe to Visit Nepal After the Floods?
Yes, all of the trekking routes are safe and accessible. While some areas were significantly affected, the major trekking destinations remain intact. It killed some Nepalese and tourists, and many people are missing. It was such an unexpected event in Nepal.
Well, the major trekking destinations are totally fine and safe, such as Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, Mustang, Dolpo, and Kanchenjunga is still very much viable.
The floods originated from the border of Nepal and Tibet and severely affected certain riverside areas. Notably, the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli riverbanks experienced significant damage.
The Langtang trek is also possible. The old trekking route through Dhunche, Thulo Shyabru, Langtang Valley, and Gosainkunda is safe for trekking. However, Shyabrubesi and Trishuli Bazar have been impacted by the floods.

Our government is actively working on recovery efforts in the affected areas. They are addressing landslides and other damage rapidly. We hope that everything will return to normal soon, with the exception of the Nepal-Tibet border highway.
On the Chinese side, roadwork has already begun to create a rough road.
