Day three: trekking to Pikey Peak Base Camp. It is also nice to walk with open views. Day 4, visit Pikey Peak Top, 4065 m, which is one of the fantastic 360-degree viewpoints from which you will see most of the Nepal Himalayas, from Everest and Kanchenjunga to Langtang, Manaslu, and the Annapurna ranges.
The next day, trekking continues to a beautiful village called Junbesi. It is such a beautiful place to stay. Day 5. Early in the morning, we visit Thubten Chholing Monastery, where many monks and female monks live. Then back to Junbesi and a trek to Phaplu. You can do it easily. Then the next day, back to Kathmandu by local jeep. It is such a nice trek, with a short time spent exploring a lot, especially the open views from the top of Pikey Danda. It is such a nice route for someone who doesn’t have much time; they can do it in a short time with various explorations.
Is there well-facilitated lodging and fooding on Pikey Peak Trek?
Yes, there are some villages and well-managed lodges. They grow some kinds of crops and vegetables. They provide hygienic meals. Likewise, they have neat and clean rooms with beds. Furthermore, they are so kind and friendly; they respect clients, and they have warm hospitality. They serve nicely and honestly.
How about transportation? Is it easily accessible there?
There is a nice highway from Kathmandu to Phaplu Salleri, where there are local jeeps. It is easy and safe because it runs around a 10-person jeep. Another option is to take a private jeep or flight. Pikey Peak Trekking costs US$475 per person for only 6 days of trekking, excluding Kathmandu hotels. If you like your arrival-to-departure services with Kathmandu two-night standard hotels, it costs US$499 per person and requires a minimum of two people in a group. If you are a single visitor, the price will be a bit higher. Feel free to do that.
Carry your important medicine
Pikey Danda Trek Medicine is very important if you have any ailments. You must carry the medicine with you. In the "prevention is better than cure" mountain region, we can’t find any healthcare facilities, clinics, or hospitals. If there is a clinic, you may not get the medicine you need for your problem. So, I humbly request that you prepare if you are continually taking any medicine. Please bring it with you or buy it in Kathmandu. It is very important, but our company will provide something in the first aid kit bag, normally for a headache, fever, stomach problems such as diarrhoea, cough, and cold, some bandages, tape, and Diamox for high altitude sickness, etc.
