We recommend staying a couple of nights in Kongde (4250m) to explore many beautiful views and do a day excursion to Kongde View Point (4600 m), where you will see a close view of Kongde Peak (6160 m) and Everest, Amadablam, and Thamserku views. The area mainly explored is the Sherpa people’s lifestyle, their typical culture, customs, languages, and dress.

Most of the people in the region are Buddhists, and they have many small or big, old or new monasteries’ in each and every village. Thame has an old historical monastery, and Thamo has a new female monastery. They cultivate some, and they grow wheat, buckwheat, potatoes, and some vegetables. Medicine is very important; if you have any ailment, you must carry the medicine with you. "Prevention is better than cure." In the mountain regions, we can’t find any healthcare facilities, clinics, or hospitals. If there is a clinic, you may not get the medicine you need for your problem. So, I humble request that you prepare if you are continually taking any medicine. Please bring it with you or buy it in Kathmandu. It is very important, but our company will provide something in a first aid kit, normally for a headache, fever, stomach problems such as diarrhea, cough, and cold, some bandages, tape, and Diamox for high altitude sickness, etc.
