The cost for the Nagarkot-Chisopani trek is USD 210 per person, based on a minimum of two people. This full-board package includes meals, accommodations (a lodge in Chisopani and a luxurious hotel in Nagarkot), National Park permits, private transportation, and a professional guide. Solo travelers are welcome with adjusted pricing. And, if you are in a rising volume, price will be reducing according to a group size. Feel free. 

Trekking Permits for Shivapuri National Park

To hike from Nagarkot to Chisopani, you’ll need an entry permit for Shivapuri National Park.

  • Foreigners: NPR 1,000 per person
  • SAARC nationals: NPR 500 per person
  • The Kathmandu city tour needs entrance permits too.

Make sure you carry your permit, as there are multiple army checkpoints throughout the trail.

Day 01: Kathmandu to Nagarkot Hike along Changunarayan Temple

Nagarkot Chisopani 2 Nights, 3 Days of Perfect Hiking Surrounding Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu to Sundarijal by Private vehicle is just an hour and 20 minutes. Then starts beautiful hiking up a ward along Shivapuri National Park, Sundarijal Dam, and beautiful Tamang Community villages, then crosses Shivapuri Hill around 2350m. After crossing the hill, you need to walk 4–5 hours uphill and then an hour downward to Chisopani, 2150 m, and stay overnight at a comfortable lodge with magical mountain views.

After watching the beautiful mountain and valley views, take a yummy breakfast, and then trek along the wonderful viewing path. It is more than a couple of hours walk, and you will see the huge Dhap Damside. Then, hiking will continue with Jule, Chauki Bhanjyang, and Jarsing Pauwa. Most of the path follows the roadside. You must walk almost 7 hours from Chisopani to Nagarkot, where you will spend the night. Before arriving in Nagarkot, you need to ascend for 30 minutes and will arrive at such a standing Hotel. It is called Hotel View Point, which is amazing. You needn't go anywhere for a view. You will see from the rooftop such a mesmerizing view of the Himalayas and valleys of Kathmandu and the hilly region. It will be great to stay overnight here, and they serve yummy, delicious meals with warm hospitality. They provide deluxe rooms.

You must get up early in the morning because of the sunrise view and the crystal-clear white snow mountain view. Usually, sunrise occurs around 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.If the weather is fine, you will see most of the Himalayan range of Nepal.

Eastern part to western part: Mt. Everest range, Gaurisankar, Sishapanma, Langtang range, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, and Annapurna ranges It has 360-degree mountain views because Nagarkot is in the middle of the hill. You can enjoy its beauty.

Then, after taking your yummy, delicious breakfast, Hiking will continue to Telkot. It's downhill, then catch a private vehicle. Visit for a short time Bhaktapur Durbar Square, which is the old Durbar Square. You must pay $15 for entrance. After that, return to Kathmandu and take some time to explore the Kathmandu Valley. Stay overnight at a nice Hotel in Kathmandu, according to your choice.
